...I LOVE IT!

I'm J. Edward Edens, and I run Rabbid Force. I hope to change that soon with the advent of our 'recruitment' thread. I"m hoping there are some other artists, etc out there that would like to come play comic book drawer, game developer with me. It's all for fun. Maybe we'll get paid some day, but I just want to tell stories.

Anyway, a little about me:

I went to Full Sail in Winter Park, Florida and got a degree in Film. What the hell are you doing in Ohio, you ask? Good question...it takes time to get to Hollywood when you don't have the means.

I also worked as a graphic designer for Alley Cat Designs for about 2.5 years. Had a great time there and learned a lot. Them's some good boys and you should probably go order some shirts from them.

I'm gonna break this down for you by categorie so you can get an idea of what kind of nerd I am:

Movies: (These are must sees and have influenced me in one way or another) Aliens, Alien, Terminator, The Road Warrior, Big Trouble in Little China, Mad Max, Total Recall, Robocop, Predator, Predator 2, Alien 3, Raiders of the Lost Ark, Jaws, Buckaroo Banzai (whew), Pulp Fiction, Jackie Brown, Kill Bill, Harry Potter, Lord of the Rings, James Bond (scattered), The Thing, Escape from New York, Seven, The Warriors and the list could go on. 80s is my favorite decade for movies. I'll probably update this.

Music: (Ahh, this will get interesting) Meshuggah, Sevendust, Vision of Disorder, Jamiroquai, Alice in Chains, God Forbid, Hed pe (first 2 albums), Snot (god bless their souls), Depeche Mode, New Order, Billy Idol, Unearth, Cryptopsy, and a bunch of bands that are embarrassing to mention, heh.

Comics & Artists: (Influences and good reads) I like J. Scott Campbell's art, but I'm not a huge fan of the writing that goes along with it. Jim Lee's X-Men and Wildcats were some of my favorites growing up. Shirow Masamune's Ghost in the Shell and Appleseed. Akira Toriyama's art style (CHRONO TRIGGER!). Anything by Frank Miller and Alan Moore, I would recommend Watchmen. I just recently got into Hellboy, which is superb. And since I'm such a huge Alien nerd, my collection wouldn't be complete without mentioning the Aliens series by Darkhorse. The original Aliens Vs. Predator is still amazing. And of course, the best for last, H.R. Giger, not so much an influence as much as an inspiration to us all.

Games: (Video/PC/ETC.) I grew up old school, so some of these might not be familiar, but they might be! Contra (3 on the SNES is my fav), Castlevania (IV on the SNES), Final Fantasy (Series...most of them, especially 2 and 3 on the SNES and 9 on the Playstation), Super Mario Bros. (Series), Chrono Trigger, Secret of Mana, Shadowrun, Chrono Cross (give us a sequel dammit!), Zelda (series), Animal Crossing (such an awesome game), Resident Evil (series), Mortal Kombat, Street Fighter 2, Grand Theft Auto (series), Crash Bandicoot 2 and 3, Ratchet and Clank (series...so good), Jak series, Metroid (series..classics..especiall Super Metroid), Halo (series), Half Life (series), City of Heroes/Villains (awesome), and many others I can't quite think of.

Well, thats a bit about me. Make sure to post a little something about yourself in our Introduction forum.

Hahaha, I purposely didn't mention WoW, cause I'm going to start a thread about WoW addiction for us all to discuss. Very Happy
